Meet Dr Elizabeth Vogts

I am Dr Elizabeth Vogts, and I am based in Cape Town.
Having lived all over the world in my youth has helped me understand and care for patients from all walks of life
(different religions, cultures, traditions).
Graduating with a MBChB in 2012, I finished specialising in Psychiatry in 2021, with a very keen interest in
women, adolescent and child mental health.
Hoping to further specialise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the future, I look to increase my knowledge to further help and assist as wide a section of the South African population as possible.
My special interests are:
- Anxiety disorders
- Depressive disorders
- Insomnia
- Trauma- based responses
- ADHD
- Autism
I practice holistically, by not only focusing on my patients’ mental health, but their social, spiritual and physical health as well.
As a passionate nature lover I enjoy the outdoors (hiking, running), healthy eating, humour and an overall search for joy and meaning in life.
